Neopolitan Creche Figure
This 19th century wooden figure with painted, ceramic head and hands and silk pants and long jacket, looks like a merchant. He formed part of the town of Bethelem in a vast nativity scene created in the churches of Naples at Christmas time. The condition is good, there is some paint loss, a piece of finger missing, the silk is fragile.
